Aims and objectives:
To provide a safe and secure environment for all residents at Healey House
To oversee all individual’s needs, ensuring these are met with dignity and respect
To ensure principles of confidentiality are maintained at all times
To maintain clear and close liaison between residents and staff, ensuring staff are effectively supervised to ensure and promote maximum comfort, wellbeing and safety of all residents of the home
Ensuring that privacy is maintained at all times and necessary permissions are sought prior to the provision of any care intervention.
Ensure that residents are kept informed and are involved in the assessment, planning , implementation and evaluation of their care and needs and aspects of the home that have direct relationship with residents welfare and wellbeing such as menu choices, choices of activity, use of communal areas etc.
Support residents with all personal care needs as required for that individual and in keeping with their plan of care
Provide and promote the attendance at social activities and the maintenance of normally enjoyed activities and interests inside and outside of the home
Applying minimal restrictive regulations necessary to promote independence and autonomy
To promote a harmonious, positive atmosphere within the home through positive, respectful and hopeful interactions within the team and with residents at all times
For residents to have regular meetings and opportunities for one to one interactions with senior members of the care team/management regarding their experience at Healey House of the care they receive – Any complaints and concerns will be responded to promptly. All residents to be aware of the complaints procedure and process.
For senior care staff/Home manager to aim to engage the home with the wider community and available resources of benefit to the resident’s needs.
For the staff team to keep in close liaison with relevant statutory and non-statutory bodies and professional.s That is, community nurses, general practitioners, community physio and occupational therapists, adult social care/social workers, advocacy services, and non statutory advisory bodies.
Ensure that spiritual and cultural needs are being met, calling on appropriate individuals as appropriate and facilitating engagement in related activity (Church attendance as an example).
