Statement of Residents Rights
The Residents shall have a choice of accommodation (single or shared) dependent on availability.
The Resident/Resident’s family shall be full involved, where possible, in an initial assessment procedure.
The Resident/Resident’s family shall be fully involved in case reviews and kept up-to-date with care programmes so that, where possibly realistic decisions can be made regarding their care.
The Resident will have a right to a personal ‘Key Worker’ and families shall be notified of the person’s identity.
The Resident shall have the right to sensitive care at all times. Where health can be improved/maintained and rehabilitation offered whenever possible.
The Resident shall have a right to enjoy life in a relaxed, warm, caring environment where physical, social, spiritual and physiological needs are met.
The Resident shall have the right to Friendly & Supportive Representation in the absence of family/friend.
The Resident shall have the right to complain and have access to the Associations complaints procedures.
